MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Assistant Manager role is responsible for end-to-end execution of the change management project co-ordination with special attention to change management communication in support of all Culture & Engagement Department projects, including implementation of recognition events for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Employee experience and engagement in partnership with the Internal Communication team. This role will strategically ensure that change projects are culturally experienced by all staff by coordinating and managing daily activities relating to identified projects with all related stakeholders and ensure reporting to the department manager of all progress related to the project activities.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Change Project Coordination:

  • Project co-ordination and reporting
  • Providing detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders
  • Planning & careful budgeting for each communication activity and events
  • Schedule activities and stakeholder meetings.
  • Compile and issue meeting minutes and track control list items.
  • Support employees with queries and concerns, updating of all communication platforms
  • Monitoring the daily progress of projects

Research & Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and data analysis of Culture and Engagement related information
  • Benchmark for best practices within and without Toyota
  • Prepare and present necessary recommendations.

Provide administrative support:

  • Compilation of monthly reports
  • Preparation for cross-functional activities
  • Providing administrative support for the working groups/service providers facilitation.
  • Organizing reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial files for easy access
  • Performing billing and bookkeeping tasks

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NQF 5 (240 credits)– Diploma in HR, Business Administration, Industrial psychology or related.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent research and analytical capabilities
  • At least 2 years’ experience in engaging with multiple stakeholders across different disciplines
  • Ability to manage tasks with multiple time spans from 1 month to 2 years and ability to respond to and manage changing priorities.
  • Experience and exposure to Human Resources and Change Projects will be advantageous.
