KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Compile Standard cost estimates for Local, Imported and In-house materials and Parts and Accessories.
- Perform variance analysis for monthly price movements by liaising with Purchasing Division, Toyota affiliates, Plant and Logistics division.
- Compile Standard cost estimates for Components on New models and Facelifts.
- Perform analysis to check whether new pricing is adequate for Component and Vehicle Costing.
- Determine parameters to be used for Costing, assessing reasonableness and completeness.
- Compile and issue Costing activity timing plan to co-ordinate activities from various areas (PCLD, PUD, Unit plants, Finance, Component Exports).
- Analyse revaluation accounts to ensure that stock are valuated correctly and standard prices updated correctly. Also check that there are no unauthorised entries.
- Investigate, analyse and report on local and import price variances (Standard vs Actual cost).
- Analyse Unit Plant Production variances (Standard vs Actual Consumption).
- Adjust stock accounts (via capitalised price variances) for actual stock valuations.
- Compile Budget Flexing for Export Components and Parts and Accessories.
- Check Flexed Budget to Actuals cost variances.
- Identify master data issues, follow up and co-ordinate meetings with relevant areas.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cost comparisons for Exec. presentations.
- Check stock with zero or 1 cent cost to determine validity of pricing.
- Perform continuous evaluation of component costing processes for areas of improvement/enhancement.
- Compile change managements for system changes to improve reporting.
- Ensure SOX requirements are met.
- Investigate, analyse and report on Standard cost estimate errors.
- Monitor financial loss/gain account and investigate material to material transfers and plant to plant transfers.
- Compile materials budget for Export components and Parts and Accessories based on budget parameters and volumes.
- Provide Costing for Intercompany Selling prices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum NQF6 (240 credits) majoring in Accounting or Management accounts or B.Comm or equivalent
- Managerial accounting/Costing experience in a Manufacturing environment (Minimum of 3-5 years)
- Excellent SAP CO module and MS Excel skills are essential
