Job Description
Reporting to the TCP-ED Plant Maintenance Section Manager, you will fulfill the necessary requirements to meet the Company’s objectives, by providing leadership to the Maintenance department, to ensure a facility that enables the production of vehicles of a high-quality standard, in a cost-effective manner:
Key Performance Areas:
- Co-ordinate, organise and plan general plant maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Fault diagnostics on PLC’s, Drives, Robotics, Lifters, Ovens, E-Coat process, Floor and Overhead Conveyor Systems.
- Planned Maintenance – Must be able to draw up and implement maintenance schedules.
- Maintain high Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
- Condition Monitoring – must be able to monitor the condition of sophisticated automatic machinery and implement and conduct pro-active repairs and actions.
- Improvement of equipment – must be able to initiate root cause analysis and implement countermeasures to prevent re-occurrences.
- Adherence to Company ISO requirements and Toyota standards
- MTTR & MTBF improvements.
- Development of apprentices and artisans.
- Ensure legal compliance of TCP-ED Plant
- Ensure departmental costs are kept within budget constraints.
- Lead Continuous improvement activities across all KPI’s
- Be prepared to work shifts, overtime, shutdown, call-outs, weekend duty and standby as required.
Qualifications And Experience:
- N4 Electrical/Mechanical + Trade Test Millwright or National Diploma (S4) – Electrical/Mechanical.
- Minimum 5yrs post qualification experience.
- Good technical knowledge of automated control systems and Paint Plant experience is essential.
- Good working knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Robotics, Lifters, floor and Overhead conveyors and PLC
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 requirements
- High level of computer literacy
