The main purpose of the position is to create coordinate & manage component quality specifications for New, Current and Past models with all relevant local Suppliers.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Manage quality specification documents
- Ensure Service Parts approval as per Parts Technical Drawings.
- Management of QPR’s raised by Export Affiliates and reporting on outstanding issues to ensure 100% good quality status.
- Manage NMP activities on Supplier Portal.
- Liaise with local suppliers to update their activities for parts preparations before new models’ launch date, including Supplier visits for Trial parts inspection.
- Ensure Supplier aligns to PPM Requirement & monitor monthly KPI’s.
- Conduct Process Kaizen activities with Component Suppliers.
- Create and update Quality SOP documents.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- NQF Level 5: (240 credits on level 8 framework) Logistics or Quality/Engineering related.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in automotive parts quality field
- Project Management experience advantageous
- Automotive industry experience would be an advantage
- Good communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
- PC Literacy (MS Office Packages) Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- MRP system application experience
- Driver’s Licence and ability to travel nationally (Essential).
