The main purpose of the position is to create coordinate & manage component quality specifications for New, Current and Past models with all relevant local Suppliers.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Manage quality specification documents
  • Ensure Service Parts approval as per Parts Technical Drawings.
  • Management of QPR’s raised by Export Affiliates and reporting on outstanding issues to ensure 100% good quality status.
  • Manage NMP activities on Supplier Portal.
  • Liaise with local suppliers to update their activities for parts preparations before new models’ launch date, including Supplier visits for Trial parts inspection.
  • Ensure Supplier aligns to PPM Requirement & monitor monthly KPI’s.
  • Conduct Process Kaizen activities with Component Suppliers.
  • Create and update Quality SOP documents.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • NQF Level 5: (240 credits on level 8 framework) Logistics or Quality/Engineering related.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in automotive parts quality field
  • Project Management experience advantageous
  • Automotive industry experience would be an advantage
  • Good communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written)
  • PC Literacy (MS Office Packages) Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • MRP system application experience
  • Driver’s Licence and ability to travel nationally (Essential).
