KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

This vacancy reports to the Manager Sales Technical Liaison and exists in the Technical Services Department which forms part of Customer First Division.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

 

  • Product Analysis and consolidating facts & data - enhance go & study activities.
  •  Strengthen service function. 
  • Quick info, from the market.
  • Strengthen FTR analysis.
  • Detailed report compilation - antenna function, to enhance sensitivity for early detection/early resolution - FTR issuing.
  • Detailed research on product related matters.
  • Compilation of communication to the dealer network - service bulletins.
  • Present presentations to various audiences - Nuts & Bolts (dealer network) / Technical Conferences. 
  • Liaise with TMC, TSAM, public relations, legal dept. & customer call Centre (CQD and other related departments).
  • Fix it right first time - product resolution.  
  • Study & develop f/fix methods & coordination parts with NPDC.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • NQF Level 6 (360 credits - level 8 framework) Mechanical + 3 years working experience as motor technician / motor mechanic or similar Qualified Motor Mechanic + Master Technician (G1) + 5 – 6 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at dealer level will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a research environment or analysis position an advantage.
  • Computer experience in MS Office and Outlook. 
  • Advanced level of technical knowledge.
  • Field experience dealing with voice of the customer.
  • A minimum of five years technical experience on Lexus and Toyota models would be an advantage. 
  • Will be required to travel.
