KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Reporting to the CFO of Toyota Connected Africa (TCA), the Senior Manager Finance will be responsible for executing the financial and risk functions, ensuring compliance, and delivering strategic finance initiatives. The role encompasses financial operations, reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and risk management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to Toyota's group policies are essential.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

 

Financial Strategy Execution

  • Develop and oversee annual financial plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.

 

Treasury Management

  • Execute daily banking and international transactions, ensuring compliance with South African Reserve Bank regulations.

 

Budgeting, Reporting, and Credit Management

  • Lead budgeting processes, prepare financial management accounts, and manage accounts receivables and payables.

 

Internal Controls

  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure systems comply with financial governance policies.

 

Audit Management

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to resolve findings and ensure statutory compliance.

 

Risk Management

  • Maintain the Enterprise Risk Register and align risk reporting with Toyota's Risk Management Framework.

 

Legal & Tax Compliance

  • Manage tax computations and ensure timely submission of returns.

 

Ad-hoc Projects

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as delegated by the CFO/CEO.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

  • NQF 6 level qualification (360 credits - level 8 framework) in Accounting and Registered Chartered Accountant (SA)
  • Post-Graduate Tax Diploma and/or MBA will be advantageous.
  • 5+ years of financial management experience including budgeting, forex dealing & insurance related matters.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and related systems.
